This cottage is built on the hill top by the locals using traditional practices. The walls are built with mud, keeping it warm in winters and cool in summers. It has a thatched roof which gives it a fairy tale look. The interiors are tastefully done with a king size bed, small kitchenette, western style washroom and space for a sofa and table to read. Hot and cold running water is available in the cottage. If required, space can be made for two families to stay comfortably. The veranda overlooks the valley facing the rising sun. Morning tea served at sunrise is an experience to cherish.

These tents have their own charm with cozy interiors, mud walls that give them a rustic look and tented roof. There is a small aangan outside each safari tent to relax. The washrooms are of western style with hot and cold running water.
Family Swiss cottage tents:
Tastefully and comfortably appointed with a view to accommodating a large family (6 adults), on-suite bathrooms and a veranda opening out to a common lawn and a sit out area, overlooking the beauty of the shivalik forest, not only offers comfort but a holistic wellness experience. Suitable for groups that are willing to share accommodation, 6 adults can share the space comfortably.
Kinnow Orchard Cottages:
The farm has two cottages overlooking the Kinnow orchard. These cottages are well appointed with a large window overlooking the orchard for an early morning view of the orchard from your comfortable bed as you wake up. The bathrooms are modern with hot and cold running water. The covered veranda is an ideal place to sit and read, laze about during the day with lassi by your side, a small bonfire in the evenings lends it a special romantic character. These cottages are extremely private and short walk away from the main dining area. Recommended for young couples or a small family.

These are the traditional Safari tents which can be pitched out in the open and are comfortable from inside. There is a common but very clean washroom for travelers staying in Safari tents, hot and cold running water is available in the washrooms.
Prakriti Farm offers Cottages perched up on a hill facing the rising sun. These cottages are overlooking the valley, a splash pool and the Swiss cottage tents. Furnished with all modern amenities sunrise cottages are a favorite amongest groups and families traveling together. Tastefully funrnished to make youe stay memorable on the farm, these cottages have on-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water.

Ways to reach:
Rail-Majra is only 5 kms from Ropar. Ropar is connected to New Delhi via an overnight and a day train. You can drive from Delhi which takes 5 – 5.5 hours and takes you through one of the best highways of India (NH1 – GT Karnal road). The distance is approximately 300 kms.
Basic but essential information that you may need as a traveler:
ATMs of multiple private as well as nationalised banks are available in Ropar and Rail Majra.
Best time to visit is from September to April. Temperature ranges from 4 degree Celsius in winters to about 29 degrees in post monsoon and pre summer months.
The farm will provide sufficient Quilts/blankets. We urge you to carry sun shades and hats as per personal need and warm clothing for winters.
For any medical emergency, assistance is available in Ropar as well as in Chandigarh city.
Please carry any specific and special medication that your doctor may have recommended.
It is a farmstay, so you will experience a family atmosphere which will not be like that of a hotel.
Food is available in the restaurant (3 Cheraiya) in the main building, serving continental and authentic indian food, produced with fresh organic greens from the farm. The menu is simple and the food is cooked home style.
Carry torch, mobile phone chargers, convertors (adaptors) and comfortable walking shoes.
Please do not light a fire by yourself, the farm help will help you on request.
Avoid disturbing the wildlife around the farm, there are Antelopes, Deer, Wild bore, Peacock’s, Wild Rabbits and Partridges. These animals pose no threat to the residents, you can be lucky to spot one.
Please inform the hosts if you have any food allergies or specific preferences.
